One Month at Sea: What We’ve Learned on MyCruiseCabin.com

It’s hard to believe, but mycruisecabin.com just turned one month old! Launched on Halloween 2025, we’ve already made a ton of progress — and learned a lot — all while trying not to spill our virtual cocktails on the keyboard.

Here’s a look back at some of the highlights, discoveries, and fun moments from our first 30 days:

Badges, Bragging Rights, and Cabin Fame

We quickly learned that our users love earning badges. Favorite a cabin photo? Upload your own shot from your cruise? Interact on the site? Boom — another badge earned.

Gamifying cabin exploration is way more fun than we expected. Some users are stacking badges like a true cruise trophy case, and we’re cheering for you.

Travel Agents: You’re Part of the Crew

One big addition in our first month is giving travel agents a place to shine. Agencies can now post their logo and website on their profile.

Travel agents are proud of their cabin pictures — and their branding. This isn’t just about logos; it’s about helping travelers connect with experts who know their cabins (and ships!) better than anyone. If you are a travel agent, click the travel agents link in the footer for more information.

User Profiles That Actually Do Things

We enhanced user profiles so you can show off your badges and uploaded images — basically, a mini cruise resume.

Personalization matters. The more ways we give you to make the site your own, the more fun it becomes. Even small tweaks, like profile enhancements and better cabin tracking, get noticed and appreciated.

Track the Ship: Now You Can Watch Us Sail

One of the coolest new features this month is the ship tracker. Now, users can see exactly where their favorite ships are sailing in real time.

People are obsessed with ships — watching them glide across the map is almost as fun as being on board. Whether you’re tracking your next cruise or just daydreaming about the high seas, this feature has become an instant favorite.

So Many Changes, So Little Time

In just 30 days, we’ve added:

    • Interactive badges for users

    • Travel agent logos and website links

    • Enhanced user profiles showcasing cruise adventures

    • A real-time ship tracker

    • Countless behind-the-scenes improvements making the site smoother

Building a cruise site is a lot like cruising itself — fast-moving, a little unpredictable, and always exciting.

    Remember, we are Crowd-Sourced

Our website is merely the framework. Our content is what you and other cruisers help to create. We love all of our contributors, and if you haven't tried it yet, upload a photo! It is your contributions that make us a success.

We promote your cabin photos, and we promote you! Not only are we a place to share your photos, but we share links to your YouTube, Your Pinterest, Your Facebook page, and many more! Anyone who is trying to promote their hard work in the cruising industry should create a free profile for the additional exposure.

What do we ask in return? Other than uploading your awesome cabin photos, really nothing. If you link back to us, or to your profile from your website or social pages it helps us grow, but it is not required.

    What’s Next?

We’re just getting started. More badges, more features, more ways for users to interact and share their cruise experiences. And, of course, more cabins, photos, and surprises along the way.

One month in, and we’re already learning faster than a speedboat in a hurricane. Thanks to everyone who’s joined us, shared images, favorited cabins, tracked ships, and made this first month so memorable. Here’s to smooth seas, happy cruising, and many more months of exploration!
